KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A man is jailed after Kalamazoo Public Safety says he broke into a residence in the Milwood Neighborhood and stole an iPad.
It happened after 11:30 p.m. Thursday in the 1200 block of Vassar Drive.
Investigators say the man, who was a suspect in a domestic assault earlier that night, walked through a rear sliding door and threatened the homeowners before running from the scene.
His scent was tracked by police dogs to a home in the 1100 block of Homecrest Avenue, where he was arrested.
Dispatchers fielded a pair garage break-in calls as the search was taking place.
