BARRY COUNTY (WKZO-AM) — It was a cold and soggy rescue for the driver of a vehicle who lost control on a curve on North Avenue in Barry County and rolled the car, landing overturned in a pool of water.
Barry County Sheriff’s deputies and Johnstown Township rescuers responded to reports of a car off the road at about 8:20 a.m. Monday and discovered the vehicle partially submerged in two feet of water with the driver trapped inside.
The cause is not known, but investigators say neither drugs nor alcohol were involved.
The driver was taken to Bronson Battle Creek Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
