KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Sheriff Richard Fuller says Kalamazoo County is sharing information with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security about how to defend against terrorism after attacks in Paris that left 129 dead.
“Homeland security will make everyone aware of the information they have and let individual agencies choose if they feel they have an area of concern they need to address,” Fuller said.
He adds the talks are only precautionary.
“This is a not a time for panic,” Fuller said. “Your law enforcement officials are paying attention, as always.”
ISIS warned of American attacks after claiming responsibility for the deaths in France last week.
Gov. Snyder has since barred new Syrian refugees from entering Michigan until a federal audit is finished on screening procedures.
