BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — Gas is starting to dip below $2 a gallon in Battle Creek.
The average price for a gallon of regular in the city is $2.06, with about a dozen stations selling fuel under the $2 mark.
With fluctuations possible around the holidays, prices should remain low.
“With the depressed price of crude pared with this cheaper blend of gasoline inventories, gas prices have begun to dip,” Will Speer, a senior petroleum analyst with GasBuddy.com, said on Wednesday.
“As some refinery maintenance issues get resolved, the price of gasoline is expected to drop,” Speer said.
Gas in the Cereal City is nearly a dollar cheaper than it was at this time last year.
The average in Kalamazoo is currently $1.93, with some stations selling fuel for less than $1.80 a gallon.
