EAST LANSING (WKZO-AM) — Michigan State had no problem beating the Maryland Terrapins who lost five turnovers and all but gave the game away.
But it may have been an expensive victory if Connor Cook, who went out of the game with a shoulder injury, isn’t 100 percent when the Spartans take on Ohio State next Saturday.
It put a damper on the 24-7 victory.
The Spartans have had to cope with a series of injuries all season on the offensive line and in the secondary.
A banged up Cook would make them a significant underdog against the Buckeyes.
Cook says he landed on it funny and could have played the second half but he was kept out as a precaution and should be ready to go by next weekend.
