GRAND RAPIDS (WKZO-AM) — A funeral is scheduled Saturday for a 31-year-old Holland woman gunned down in what investigators call an execution-style killing in the middle of a Grand Rapids street.
It happened last Friday. Melissa Moore, who had worked at Coral Gables in Saugatuck, leaves behind 15-year-old and 11-year-old sons, with one of them fathered by 35-year-old Jermaine Cooper.
Calder City workers reportedly told detectives that Moore was gunned after an argument with her boyfriend, with Cooper still at large and wanted by the Grand Rapids Police Department on an open murder warrant.
Her funeral is at 11 a.m. at West Olive’s Harlem Reformed Church.
