KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Western Michigan University head hockey coach Andy Murray says he’s hoping his Broncos can take their success on the road to Ohio against No. 19 Miami University after sweeping a top-ranked Nebraska-Omaha team at Lawson Arena last week.
“We go to Miami with the mindset that we want to get off to a great start and come back with wins,” Murray said.
Murray says that didn’t happen much against the RedHawks last year.
“We had the scores from last season on the board all week in our dressing room,” Murray said. “We played Miami seven times last season, and we lost to them six times.”
Miami was swept last weekend at St. Cloud State.
Puck-drop for Friday’s game is set for 7:35 p.m. The game will be broadcast on 96.5 WZOX-FM.
