UNDATED (WKZO-AM) — CareerBuilder.com has rated the nation’s 53 largest cities for their ability to survive a zombie apocalypse.
Where should you head if you see zombies? Chicago was in the bottom ten when it came to the rankings. Detroit wasn’t much better at 41st.
Spokesperson Mary Lorenz said they looked at whether the cities had the resources needed to fend off zombies.
“We looked at containment, which would be the ability to keep zombies out,” Lorenz said. “We also looked at engineering occupations for that city.”
The place where you might want to head is Grand Rapids, which ranked 12th overall.
However, bring a hammer and a shotgun. Grand Rapids ranked first for having large-enough food stores on hand to outlast the zombies, but they ranked dead last in being able to put up a defense against the hoard because of a lack of military bases.
Boston was ranked first because its research base would make it easier to find a cure. New York ranked last because it has no food stores, little defense or containment possibilities.
