GALESBURG (WKZO-AM) — A 71-year-old Galesburg man is dead after his car went off M-96 and struck a tree near his hometown.
Investigators believe the man blew through a stop sign before 7 p.m. Monday. He was not wearing a seat belt.
The man was cut from the vehicle. Efforts to revive him at the scene were not successful.
His name has not yet been released.
