OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — Investigators are trying to figure out what sparked a fire that tore through an office building in Oshtemo Township, just west of the U.S. 131 freeway.
Dep. Chief Rick Griffin with the Oshtemo Fire Department says at least six agencies were called to fight the blaze near West Main Street and Lodge Lane at around 12:45 p.m. Tuesday.
“When we came on the scene, we had fire in the attic already,” Griffin said. “Fire was running up the outside wall, but the attic was completely charged when we got here.”
Griffin says everybody inside the structure was able to evacuate safely.
