CALHOUN COUNTY (WKZO-AM) — A 27-year-old man is in critical condition after he crashed through into the living room of a home in Springfield.
He had to be extracted from the car at about 3 a.m. Sunday.
Calhoun County Sheriff’s deputies believe the driver was drunk and headed north when he ignored a stop sign at the intersection where LaVista Boulevard ends at Gouguac Street. He kept going through the front yard and into the home.
Neighbors heard the crash and called 911. The driver was taken to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo for treatment.
The residents were not home at the time.
