KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Western Michigan University head football coach P.J. Fleck says he’s expecting a tough defensive challenge on the road against Ohio University on Saturday.
“They’re very stout up front, very active up front, very good with their hands, very good with shedding blocks, getting off blocks, putting pressure on the quarterback and making tackles and holes,” Fleck said. “Their linebackers are, probably, the best part of their defense, they’re extremely athletic.”
WMU is trying to ride some momentum from last week’s 41-39 victory over rival Central Michigan.
Kickoff against the 5-1 Bobcats at Peden Stadium is set for noon. You can listen to that game on our sister station, WZOX-FM 96.5.
