CALHOUN COUNTY (WKZO-AM) — A sweep through Calhoun County has yielded $15,000 in marijuana.
Calhoun County Sheriff Matt Saxton says they spent three days on the ground and in the air searching for the drug and found 1,500 plants hidden in corn fields, growing in remote clearings in undeveloped areas and even in backyards.
He says that’s more than they’ve found in recent years.
There have been no arrests.
