BERRIEN COUNTY (WKZO) — A collision that may have been the result of drunk driving in Berrien County on Saturday has left one person dead and two others hospitalized.
Deputies say the two-car wreck happened at Park Road and Napier in Bainbridge Township at about 5:30 p.m.
All three were transported to Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph. That is where George Hamlett, who was a passenger in one of the cars, was pronounced dead.
The other two names haven’t been released.
One of them was transferred to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo for more-extensive treatment. The crash remains under investigation.
