DETROIT (WHTC) – The man who had served longer in Congress than any other lawmaker remains at Detroit’s Henry Ford Hospital. Dearborn Democrat John Dingell is “resting comfortably,” according to his wife Debbie, who succeeded him on Capitol Hill this year, after a successful procedure to insert a biventricular pacemaker. It was the second surgery done on the 89-year-old lawmaker this week, although what exactly afflicted him hasn’t been disclosed by his wife’s Congressional office. John Dingell is expected to remain at Henry Ford for a “few more days.”
