LAKE MICHIGAN (WKZO-AM) — The U.S. Coast Guard has called off its search for two boaters from the city of Wyoming missing, presumably in Lake Michigan, since early Saturday morning.
Family members of 40-year-old Aaron Juarez and 25-year-old Christopher Thode didn’t notify authorities about their disappearance until Tuesday evening.
A truck and empty boat trailer the men used were found on Wednesday at the boat launch on Pigeon Lake in Port Sheldon Township.
A number of vessels and aircraft unsuccessfully scoured nearly 4,000 nautical miles of Lake Michigan over the past two days without success.
