ATHENS (WKZO-AM) — Investigators are looking into an incident on M-66 near Athens on Wednesday, where a woman claims the driver’s side window of her SUV suddenly shattered from what she believed was a bullet.
Broken glass flew all over the interior of the vehicle, as the woman was riding with her husband and son.
Investigators aren’t ready to say whether it was a bullet or just debris that blew out the window, but they will be analyzing the evidence.
Officers searched the area with dogs, but failed to find anything.
Twenty incidents have ben reported, but only three along Interstate 94 and Interstate 69 have been confirmed bullet hits.
