EMMETT TOWNSHIP (WKZO-AM) — Police are investigating after firefighters were called to put out a pile of burning books at Wattles Park Junior High School on Crosby Drive.
The discovery at the abandoned Calhoun County school was made Tuesday morning before the blaze extended into other parts of the building.
No injuries were reported. Detectives say children and homeless people have broken into the structure in the past.
