NILES (WKZO-AM) — Michigan State Police are investigating the armed robbery of another party store in Niles.
Investigators say the hold-up happened before 10 p.m. Tuesday at the Sunrise Corners Party Store on Huntly Road after a masked, knife-wielding man entered the business and started demanding money. They say he forced the clerk to open the register and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash in a plastic bag.
The clerk wasn’t injured. MSP officers say they’re reviewing surveillance footage.
The heist comes six days after another knifepoint robbery less than four miles away at Belle Plaza Party Store store on South 11th Street.
