ELKHART, IND. (WKZO-AM) — Two girls on the White Pigeon High School cross-country team are hospitalized after being struck by an SUV while jogging on a trail in northern Indiana.
The collision happened Monday afternoon in Elkhart County, near County Road 8 and County Road 31.
The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department says a 16-year-old broke her arm, while a 15-year-old suffered a fractured pelvis and head trauma.
Sheriff’s detectives say they’re investigating the incident.
