KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — The Kalamazoo County Transit Authority has presented a time table to city commissioners, outlining when they plan to expand service and transfer assets.
The discussion was prompted after a millage was approved by voters this year.
“For Metro County Connect, for Sunday service, Feb. 1 of 2016 (will be the first service date),” agency chairwoman Linda Teeter said. She also said six routes will begin extended nightly service next September.
On Monday, Teeter said the agency won’t begin collecting funds from the mill levy until next year. In the meantime, however, the buses will continue to roll.
