ALLEGAN (WKZO-AM) — The Allegan County Republican Party has scheduled an Oct. 13 debate for the candidates running for the vacant 80th district Michigan House of Representatives seat.
They may not be endorsing expelled representative Cindy Gamrat, but they are inviting her to be among the eight candidates at their debate. It was Gamrat’s expulsion that created the vacancy.
The other candidates are Eric DeWitt, Bill Sage, James Siver, Jim Storey, Shannon Szukala, Kevin Travis and Mary Whiteford.
David Gernant is the lone Democrat running for the vacant seat.
