KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Two young men who are old enough to face adult charges are in custody following a shooting spree with a BB gun.
Kalamazoo Public Safety investigators say they shattered the window in a school bus full of kids and damaged the glass in Metro Transit bus shelters.
The incidents occurred near the Village Apartments on Lilac Lane on Kalamazoo’s west side at around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. There were no injuries.
The two suspects were quickly tracked down and arrested, police said. The 17-year-old and 19-year-old have been charged with damaging a school bus, resisting and obstructing arrest and discharging a firearm within city limits.
They could be formally charged Thursday.
