STURGIS (WKZO-AM) — Police investigators in Sturgis are revisiting the case of a missing six-year-old girl, following the arrest of a man accused of killing an 11-year-old Constantine girl in 2007.
Brittney Beers disappeared from a bench at the Village Manor Apartments nearly two decades ago. She has not been seen since Sept. 16, 1997.
Both Beers and Jodi Parrack had blonde hair and blue eyes. The police sketch of the man seen talking to Beers just before she vanished bears a resemblance to the man arrested last week in the Parrack case, 65-year-old Daniel Furlong.
DNA evidence linked Furlong to the death of Parrack. In the disappearance of Beers, its not clear if there’s any usable DNA evidence to work from.
