KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A 29-year-old man is jailed after Kalamazoo Township police say he was found in the middle of East Main Street clutching a semiautomatic handgun after a shots fired call.
The agency says the man fled on foot after he was told to drop the weapon at around 11:30 p.m. Sunday, but was later found by officers a short distance away and arrested.
Investigators don’t believe the incident is connected with an attempted murder from earlier that morning, where a man was found bloodied with multiple gunshot wounds in front of a home on Gayle Avenue.
