EAST LANSING (METRONETWORKS) Conner Cook threw for 192 yards and two touchdowns as Michigan State avenged last year’s loss to Oregon with a 31-28 victory over the Ducks in East Lansing.
Madre London carried the ball 18 times for 103 yards and L.J. Scott had 76 yards and a pair of scores on the ground. Aaron Burbridge caught eight passes for 101 yards and a TD to help the Spartans improve to 2-and-0 to begin the year.
Vernon Adams finished with 309 yards and a touchdown through the air and added a score with his legs, but also threw two interceptions for the Ducks.
Royce Freeman rushed for 92 yards and a TD on 24 carries and Bralon Addison tallied 138 receiving yards and took a punt 81 yards for a touchdown in a losing effort.
