LANSING, MI (WTVB) — The death of a Lansing firefighter on Wednesday may have been due to a case of road rage.
Police say 22-year-old Grant Jacob Taylor exchanged words with firefighter Dennis Rodeman, swung around and the second time then intentionally ran Rodeman down with his pickup truck.
Rodeman was collecting donations for the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s “Fill the Boot” campaign. Police think Taylor may have been angry because the charity drive was holding up traffic.
Taylor was formally charged Thursday during a video arraignment. His bond was also denied.
He was also charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident and two counts of fleeing and eluding.
