KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — The suspect in the shooting at the Citgo gas station at Burdick and Alcott Tuesday has been released has been formally charged with attempted murder and two felony gun counts.
22-year-old Antonio Faizon Norman is being held without bond in the Kalamazoo County Jail. He and the victim reportedly knew each other, clashing just weeks ago.
Neither the suspect nor the victim are cooperating with detectives.
The suspect was holed up in a home in the 1800 block of South Burdick Stret after the shooting and after a stand-off that lasted several hours. Metro SWAT eventually went in with a warrant.
The victim was taken by private means to Borgess Medical Center before police arrived. He is expected to recover.
