VAN BUREN COUNTY (WKZO-AM) — A 29-year-old man from Kalamazoo has been upgraded from critical to stable condition at Bronson Methodist Hospital after slamming into a tree last week, but may face charges upon his recovery.
Van Buren County deputies are refusing to release his name, pending the outcome of their investigation.
Investigators say it appears that his car just drifted over the centerline on Red Arrow Highway near 22nd Street and never slowed down as it went off the road, slammed into the tree then flipped onto its roof.
