GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC) – A 44-year-old Kalamazoo man will spend between 25 and 38 years in prison for admitting that he robbed a Grand Rapids chain drug store a year ago. Dwight Hill is already serving a similar sentence for holding up a department store in Oshtemo a few days later, and is suspected of robbing multiple stores in Holland, Portage, Wyoming and Grand Rapids. Police claim that Hill would, in each instance, approach the cash register to pay for an item, and then pull out a knife and threaten the clerk. His criminal record includes numerous arrests and convictions throughout West Michigan, including Allegan and Ottawa counties.
