LANSING (WKZO)– The House Business Office investigation on the Courser/Gamrat affair is still unavailable but some details have begun to leak from sources about the specific charges.
Former Republican Operative and Public Relations CEO John Truscott told Michigan’s Big Show that some of the charges are very serious, including dereliction of duty, and forgery.
MIRS News has confirmed that staff were asked to forge the legislator’s names to important documents and that Courser explored running for congress and Gamrat campaigned for national committeewoman from their house offices.
It’s not clear when the details will be released to the public. They are currently being reviewed by attorneys hired by the House Speaker.
Democratic Chair Brandon Dillon is demanding that the full House Business Office investigation of Cindy gamrat and Todd Courser be released, and not a version that has been cleansed and sanitized by lawyers.
Dillon told reporters that taxpayers are paying for it and they should get to see it and he suggested that this is Speaker Kevin Cotter’s attempt to extend the cover-up.
Speaker Cotter says the report is being reviewed to protect constituent names and private information which may be included in letters mailed to the Lawmakers in private correspondence, asking for help, and to make sure it conforms to state human resources regulations.
