LANSING, MI (WHTC) – A report by the state Attorney General’s office showed filings of health care-related criminal fraud tripled over the past year, as 30 of the 55 issued since Bill Schuette came to office in 2011 came during 2014. However, a spokeswoman for the AG office, in an email to MIRS News, said that there was no evidence to suggest that the spike was connected to the Healthy Michigan Medicaid expansion initiative, but came from boosting prosecution of fraudulent Home Help Program workers.
