CHICAGO (WKZO) — The Tigers once again gave Cubs Pitcher Jon Lester fits and completed a two-game sweep of the Cubs with a 15-8 win at Wrigley Field.
Nick Castellanos hit a solo homer in the first and clubbed a grand slam in the third for Detroit.
J.D. Martinez and starting pitcher Daniel Norris each drilled two-run homers in the victory.
It was Norris’s first time at bat ever as a professional baseball player.
Dexter Fowler, Kyle Schwarber and Kris Bryant all went deep for Chicago, but it wasn’t enough.
Lester gave up seven runs and seven hits in less than three innings to fall to 8-and-9.
