OTTAWA COUNTY (WKZO) — An internet predator suspected of victimizing an 11-year-old from Ottawa County’s Crockery Township faces multiple charges for what they are calling ‘sextortion’ thanks to that brave young girl who did the right thing, and told her parents what had happened.
Lt. Mark Bennett with the Ottawa County Sheriffs Department says 25-year-old Matthew Walker of Louisiana pretended to be a young girl on the messaging app ‘KIK’ to convince girls to send him inappropriate photos.
He would then turnaround and threaten to show the original pictures to their parents if they didn’t send him more nude pictures.
They believe that Walker may have victimized as many as 45 young girls before he was identified and arrested.
