DETROIT (WKZO) — The Detroit News is challenging some of the statements made by State Rep. Cindy Gamrat at her Friday news conference.
The newspaper is questioning her claim that she was not involved with the drafting or the execution of a fictitious E-mail being prepared as part of the cover up of her affair with Rep. Todd Courser.
They say Courser received a phone call from Gamrat during a meeting with aide Ben Graham that was secretly taped, in which he discussed the e-mail with her.
Courser also implicates her in another part of the tape, claiming that they went over the contents and that Gamrat wanted it to blame her more.
The differences could bear directly on that portion of the scandal that could result in criminal charges.
