KALAMAZOO (WKZO) — It’s a dream come true. Over 130 kids, both boys and girls, have signed up for this year’s Derek Jeter Baseball Clinic.
They have been showing up each day during the 4-day program, which is in its 12th year in Kalamazoo
. Organizers say not only gives them a chance to teach the fundamentals of baseball to a future generation of fans and players, but to impart some of the life lessons the Jeter Foundation promotes, like hard work, dedication, eating well, avoiding drugs and discipline.
They get to learn and play at Homer Stryker Field with professional coaches, which is also special.
