WASHINGTON (WHTC) – The US Department of Education has granted a three-year No Child Left Behind continued flexibility waiver for Michigan, based on what the agency is calling “comprehensive, state-designed plans to ensure student success and a continued commitment to college and career readiness for every student.” Michigan was given grace from some provisions of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act due to the use of a variety of data tools, program supports and school improvement facilities.
