LANSING (WKZO) — The investigation into the courser gamrat affair is just at the beginning.
Michigan House of Representatives investigators have been securing computers and e-mail records from the two members involved in a complex affair coverup. They have also asked others who have had communications with the Representatives to hang onto their messages.
House Speaker Kevin Cotter says analysis of the evidence will determine the next steps in the case.
State Representative Todd Courser admits he plotted to misdirect attention from his relationship with Representative Cindy Gamrat.
The Allegan County Republican Party will meet a week from tomorrow, on the 20th to consider a resolution urging House Rep. Cindy Gamrat to resign for having an affair with Rep. Todd Courser of Lapeer.
So far Gamrat hasn’t been associated with the alleged cover-up, the black mail claims or allegations of misuse of tax dollars. But then the investigation is just getting underway.
She has issued no comment or made any public appearances since the story broke last Friday.
