LANSING, MI (WHTC) – Michigan Rep. Todd Courser released an audio statement telling his side of the story on allegations he used his office to cover up a personal relationship with a local lawmaker. In a nearly 30 minutes long audio clip on his website today, Courser apologized for his actions.
Courser and fellow state representative Cindy Gamrat are accused of having an extramarital affair. State House Speaker Kevin Cotter is asking for an investigation into the affair and alleged cover-up. Allegan County Republican Party Chairman Steve McNeal called for Gamrat’s resignation over the weekend.
