CASS COUNTY (WKZO) — A young man and woman from Kalamazoo are being treated for multiple injuries after they were in a high speed rollover accident in Cass County.
Deputies say that 19-year-old Jesus Arrey was southbound on M-40 Saturday afternoon when he attempted to pass an RV in a no-passing zone.
He hit the gas, swung into the opposite lane and had to swerve to miss an oncoming vehicle, going off the road at a high rate of speed, digging a tire into the soil and flipping his vehicle multiple times.
Both Arrey and a pregnant passenger, 22-year-old Latasha Osbourne were admitted at Elkhart General for treatment of their injuries.
Osbourne was later transferred to South Bend Memorial. Their conditions were not released.
