OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP (WKZO) — WMU is proceeding with the development of Phase-2 of their controvesial Business Technology and Research Park.
Step one is looking for an engineering firm to transform the 44-acre Colony Farms Orchard from a tangle of weeds into a platform for cutting edge businesses.
Once they have the roads, the plumbing, the wiring and the landscaping installed, they can fill out the park with new firms. They have run out of space at the original BTR Park.
WMU V.P. Bob Miller says there will be a number of opportunities for the public to provide feedback and have their questions answered as they move down the schedule.
If all goes as planned it will be ready for new tenants in two years.
