GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC) – Normal service has resumed in West Michigan’s economic growth rate, based on the monthly survey of regional purchasing managers by Grand Valley State’s Supply Management Research department. Director Brian Long said that new orders, employment and production indices had solid increases in July as compared to June, while the purchasing index “eased” by nearly half of what it was the previous month.
Long added that seasonal trends of slow growth should hold true through Labor Day.
