ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC) – The Allegan County Health Department says that a bird had tested positive for West Nile Virus, although when and the exact location of where the infected bird was spotted wasn’t disclosed. Officials say that “this is a common occurrence for this time of year” and that no human cases have been reported thus far. The usual precautions about contracting West Nile through mosquitoes were also issued by the Allegan County Health Department as a result of this positive test.
