ALLEGAN, MI (WHTC) – A 32-year-old Dorr man was bound over for trial on open murder, arson and felony firearm charges. Corey LaValley is accused of shooting his 33-year-old girlfriend Debra Sheppard, their 10-year-old son and her 12-year-old daughter on March 10th, and then torching their mobile home. Several family members testified at a preliminary hearing in Allegan District Court that LaValley admitted to them of his crimes. He remains held without bond in the Allegan County Jail.
