LANSING, MI (WHTC) – During today’s Michigan Public Service Commission meeting, chairman John Quackenbush said that a projected shortfall in the state’s electric resources for next year is likely not to be as big as previously implied by a regional survey. Consumers Energy and DTE Energy have been using this data in an effort to reestablish a regulated power monopoly and to end energy choice.
Quackenbush did note that “uncertainty” exists beyond 2016 due to new federal environmental regulations.
