ANN ARBOR (WKZO) — It’s being called the biggest deal of its kind ever.
The University of Michigan has agreed to an apparel contract with nike that is worth 169-million dollars over the next decade or so.
It calls for the University to receive about $80-million in uniforms and equipment for all its various teams and over $76 million in cash.
The next closest deal is the one NIKE has with Texas…at about half that much.
Notre Dame has one with Under Armour for about 90-million.
The new contract kicks in next fall in 2016 when their deal with Adidas expires.
