MATTAWAN (WKZO) — A Mattawan resident has been arrested and charged with causing injuries Wednesday evening that resulted in the death of a 17-month-old Ali Clark, the daughter of his girlfriend.
The baby was rushed to Bronson Hospital where treatment began.
State Police working a joint investigation with Mattawan Police developed a suspect and he was taken into custody on Thursday.
Early Friday morning, the infant died at Bronson Hospital.
Friday afternoon, 25-year-old Matthew Eric Knobloch was charged with open murder and ordered held without bond.
The name of the young victim has not been released.
