LANSING, MI (WHTC) – State House Speaker Kevin Cotter told reporters in Lansing that the lower chamber next week will focus on the $1.4 billion road funding plan that the Senate passed last week. He and Senate Majority Leader Arlan Meekhof met with Governor Snyder on Wednesday to discuss the differences between the Senate package and a $1.1 billion initiative that the House had approved earlier in June.
Cotter said that he’s not anxious for a conference committee to work out a compromise deal.
