LANSING, MI (WHTC) – Michigan’s controversial film incentives program will be no more. Governor Snyder signed legislation that phases out this remnant from his predecessor Jennifer Granholm’s administration once current incentive deals have expired.
Critics have blasted this program as wasted spending of more than $450 million over the past seven years with limited return. The Michigan Film Office will still be operational without offering cash rebates.
