VAN BUREN COUNTY (WKZO) — Deputies have released the name of a Portage motorcyclist who was killed late Monday morning.
They say a woman driving a pick-up west on Red Arrow Highway, turned left right in front of 59-year-old Michael Edwards at the intersection with County Road 681. It happened in clear conditions just after 11 a.m.
The Triumph motorcycle plowed into the Silverado’s driver side front quarter panel, and Edwards was thrown over the truck and onto the pavement. CPR was attempted but he was pronounced was dead at the scene.
The pickup truck driver, a 43-year-old woman from Texas may be cited or charged following an investigation.
